Where is your jewellery made?
Each and every item we offer is handcrafted in our on-site workshop in Reykjavik. We have a very talented team of expert silversmiths who take care to make your piece special.

Can I customize a piece of jewelry that I see on your site?
Given our individual attention to detail, we can normally accommodate special requests should you desire a minor modification (e.g. your size is not covered by our standard sizes or chain lengths, or you would like a different finish). Simply contact us prior to your order and we'll advise you whether it's possible and if an additional charge might apply. We can also engrave messages inside rings and work with you to co-create a unique design for your special occasion.

I saw an item in your store but it's not available online. Can I still order it?
Yes. We have many more pieces in our store in Reykjavik than we can feature on the website. If you've seen an item in our store and don't see it online, simply email us with a description (or, ideally, a photograph) and we'll tell you the price and online payment method.

Won't sterling silver tarnish?
It is true that sterling silver is a 'living' material, which is one of the main features that attract us to working with this metal. A lot of mass-produced sterling silver jewelry is coated with rhodium, which in our opinion creates an artificial look that detracts from silver's natural beauty. Rhodium plating is also subject to chipping and has an impact on your piece's longevity, requiring periodic re-plating. Uncoated sterling silver is fairly easy to clean as well.

What's the best way to clean and maintain my jewelry?
We recommend a special solution in which you only need to dip your sterling silver jewelry for a few seconds. In our experience, the "Silver Immerse Bath" by  Sambol in Germany (sambol.de) works very well. We use this product in our store and workshop.

Do you offer a bridal jewelry collection?
Indeed, we do! We have recently expanded our online selection of bridal jewelry which you can view here. We're also happy to work with couples to create a memorable, customized jewelry collection for your special day. Please get in touch with us by email or telephone, and we'll set up an appointment either in person (in our store) or via Skype.

Do you have a men's collection?
We have a growing selection of cufflinks, rings, and bracelets suitable for men. We also have tie clips available in our store.

Where do you source your raw materials?
We source from a variety of top-tier international suppliers. Our silver is largely sourced in Europe and we ensure that all precious metals are derived from recycled and re-refined sources. Lava for our FOLD Collection comes from Southeast Asia, as the lava in Iceland is too soft to form into round shapes.

Do I have to pay import duties, taxes or VAT?
Quite possibly. This depends on the rules in your country. Typically, each country has a duty-free import value limit, and any purchases over that amount will be subject to local taxes at the point of import. Our invoices will show the actual amount you paid for your jewelry.

What's your return or exchange policy?
We will accept returns of undamaged items within 30 days of your purchase date. Simply send it back to us in the original packaging and we'll refund your purchase.

What if I received damaged or defective items? Do you offer a repair service?
Absolutely, we stand behind every item that we sell. If your item requires repair, send it back to us and we'll repair or replace it for free. You will need to pay for the shipping to Iceland and we will send it back to you for free. Just one thing: when you send it to us please mark the package as "item for repair" so it will not get stuck in Iceland Customs.

What's your billing currency?
The billing currency in our online shop is the Euro. Translations to other currencies are provided for information only. The underlying transaction will be charged in Euros. We don't constantly update our in-store prices (which are in Icelandic Króna ISKR) to match fluctuations in the Euro-ISKR exchange rate, so there will be slight differences between ISKR online prices and ISKR in-store prices.

Can I pick up my online order in your store?
Certainly. During the checkout please make a note that you would like to pick up your order in our store, and we'll set it aside for you. When you come to pick it up, please remember to bring a piece of photo ID and your order reference number.

What are your store's opening hours?
Our store opening hours vary depending on the time of year. They are listed at the bottom of each page and also here.
